When I discovered that I was a victim of hypertension (I am a 57 year old female), I came to see Dr. Li in March of 2011 with a little fear and a lot of skepticism having never before tried any form of acupuncture. I was bowled over. Following a thoroughly professional and detailed discussion of my medical history, Dr. Li outlined the areas where he felt I could benefit from a course of acupuncture and shortly thereafter, set about a course of treatment which was neither painful nor unpleasant. Surprisingly, it was quite the contrary resulting in an experience more akin to massage leaving me feeling totally relaxed and unwound. The days following each session have resulted in the most remarkable levels of energy throughput the day which are now continuing for months at a time.  I look forward to my weekly visit to the Lifecare Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine Center. My blood pressure has leveled out and continues to stay in the normal range. I feel great! AMD really sucks. My grandfather, mother, and brother had AMD.If your eyes are"dry", there is nothing a retina specialist can do, except take your vitamins and come back in 6 months.
If your eye goes "wet"(bleeds), a shot in the eye helps stop the bleeding.  After 13 shots($2,000.00 a pop) to stop the bleeding, there had to be better way to treat my eyes. Dr Henry Li said that he could not cure AMD, but with acupuncture he could slow the process of me going blind. So far, so good. I get treatment once or twice a month. I do my chinse eye exercises 4 times a day, My good eye sight is still 20/60. My eye is free of blood. Don't know if Dr Li can help you, but he is a miracle worker to me.

I started coming to Dr. Li for help with stress, particularly a twitching eye. I had previously tried exercise, yoga, cutting out caffeine... I had never done acupuncture before and decided to give it a try. I found it to be relaxing and pain free; I leave feeling happy. After a few weekly treatments, my symptoms went away. Now I go as part of a maintenance program to keep my symptoms at bay. I still get stressed in situations, but the uneasy feeling goes away quickly. (Incidentally, I stopped coming for a month and a half and my symptoms came back.) I come all the way from Flower Mound to see Dr. Li. The staff (Ashlea) is courteous and efficient. In was introduced to Dr. Henry Li when I was looking for an alternative medical doctor for my mother to help her with blood pressure issues and recurrent urinary tract infections. She is 84. He discussed the situation with me on the phone and assured me he could help her. I made an appointment for her and brought her in and was totally amazed! Just from the first visit his treatments lowered her blood pressure by 30 points! When I brought her home it was in the 120's. He also prescribed some chinese herbal combinations for blood pressure regulation as well as maintaining the urinary tract. I have continued to take her there weekly for several months and she is doing quite well. I was on a vicious cycle since November of last year with Doctors and several ER visits trying to find out what was wrong with me. Each time being told my tests came back fine and here's some pain pills, or referring me to another specialist or you have a small infection and here is antibiotic you need to take. I got really sick this past April ending up again at ER (useless – given more pain pills and sent home) and told now to see a urologist. It turned out that I had follicular cystitis of the bladder. I had surgery and they removed over three dozen polyps from my bladder. I was hurting, nauseated and so very depressed. I came to Dr Li after reading about him in a local magazine. I came to Dr. Li after working with several doctors and specialists none of which could help me. They removed my gall bladder, gave me a hysterectomy, and finally put me on anti-anxiety meds all within a year. As you can imagine my system and my mental clarity were all off balance. I decided to stop taking the anti-anxiety meds and I had severe withdrawals including dizzyness, nausea, headaches, extreme fatigue, and something that felt like my brain was receiving electrical zaps. The doctor's who prescribed the medicine said there was nothing they could do and I would just have to suffer through it. I almost lost my job and it affected my family as I have a disabled husband at home. Luckily, I went to Dr. Li and he helped me through acupuncture and herbs. I have been going to Dr. Li for about 3 years. I had been in a car accident which caused me great pain in the neck and back. After the first session, the pain was reduced a whopping 50% whereas before with traditional therapy and medications, it was barely feeling better at all. I began seeing Dr. Li for chronic insomnia that I have struggled with for four year. I also needed help dealing with stress and anxiety. I have tried numerous sleeping aids and nothing has really helped my insomnia. My goal was to figure out the cause of my insomnia and get off drugs that are not very effective. After my first treatment, I felt so relaxed and stress free. After my second treatment, I was sleeping so much better and felt much less anxiety than I had in quite a while. I came to Dr. Li about 6 months ago suffering with debilitating low back pain. I had endured countless injections and painful procedures and was living on narcotic pain medication and muscle relaxers. Iwas in constant excruciating pain. Additionally, I have suffered with severe depression and anxiety for years so i was also taking antidepressants, anti anxiety medications and medication to help me to sleep.

Dr Li has changed my life! i was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2008. My GI doctor has stated that i shouldn't have children and that i will be on expensive medication for the rest of my life. I have been receiving acupuncture for about 4 months and it has already dramatically improved my lifestyle. I went in for the first time with problems sleeping; I have had a problem sleeping for almost my entire life, it would take me hours to fall asleep at night and I would wake up in the morning exhausted. My body and mind never seemed to get tired, I always had an excess of energy. I also had a problem with racing heart and sweaty palms and feet. Also during my menstrual cycle I was pretty much useless, I could barley sit up my cramps were so bad. I went in with all of these issues, and little did I know that within a few treatments I would already be receiving relief. For my first treatment Dr. Li worked on my sleeping issues, since this was the problem that was effecting me the most. After he put in the needles (which was painless, I couldn't even feel them) I immediately fell asleep on the treatment table, I woke up and felt amazing! I felt like every cell in my body was finally relaxed for the first time ever, I'm serious, I was so relaxed and calm, and for me that is a BIG change! I went home floating on a cloud, I was so happy that I finally felt at peace. That night I hit the pillow and fell asleep immediately, which I have no memory of ever experiencing before. I actually fell asleep before my fiance, which NEVER happens! After the first treatment I was hooked, I went back 4 more times that week because I felt so good afterwards and I could sleep so easily at night. After the first week I felt more rested and I had a perfect level of energy than I ever had before. At this point though I was worried if I didn't go to acupuncture 5 days a week, if I just went 2, would I still be able to sleep. The next week I was only able to go 2 days, and I still slept all week! I am still sleeping well to this day, wether I recieve acuptuncture 3 days a week or 1 day a week. After my sleeping became under control, we moved onto my other problems, I have always had sweaty hands and feet, ever since I was in elementary school, pens and pencils would slip out of my hands. It was very embarassing for me. Dr. Li said he would have no problem fixing this, I was a little bit sceptical at first because I went to a Dermatologist for my sweating problem originally, and the told my I needed to cut my veins in my hands and my feet to keep them from sweating. To me, this didn't sound right, I didn't think it would be a good idea to cut my veins. I told Dr. Li this and he said he was very glad I didn't go through with the procedure. After one treatment in the morning for my sweating problem, my hands and feet were completely dry. My fiance and I were both so amazed! I am so thankful that he was able to help me with this problem, it has been giving me trouble my whole life. My menstrual cycles are hell for me, my cramps are immobilizing, I feel like I have the flu, I have no energy and I am very moody. I just got treated for my menstrual cycle pain, and I had instant relief from my cramps and chills, I was thrilled. After my first treatment with Dr. Li I felt immediate relief from my anxiety as a surge of relaxation rushed through my body, leaving me feeling less anxious for days.
